Congratulations and welcome to Harvard Model United Nations 2017! If you have not already, please check your MUNbase account to see your country assignment(s). This year, as has become tradition with HMUN, we received many more applications than we could accommodate. Consequently, we are unable to accommodate every request and preference, but we hope that you are pleased with your assignments and look forward to preparing and eventually debating what I hope will be a new and interesting viewpoint for you and your delegates. If you have any specific concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at info@harvardmun.org.

I'd like to use this opportunity to bring a few things to your attention. First, you can now access our Special Applications for the Specialized Agencies and the NGO Programme via MUNbase under the "Delegation" tab. These applications are due September 28 and applicants will receive notification of our decision by late October. Please note that you should create the application for any student wishing to apply from your main account and share the URL with them. More information about those committees can be found here.

In addition, the application for our annual Faculty Advisor Discussion Panel is now open. This is an event we hold each year, as part of our programming for faculty advisors, in which we invite a select group of advisors to share their model United Nations experiences and advice, and to open a candid conversation about what it is like to be a faculty advisor. The application for that can be found here. It is due October 12, 2016.

Lastly, all information about upcoming deadlines and other related information can be found on our website. This includes information about our expanded financial aid program, which can be found here. Those applications are due by October 7, 2016. We look forward to working with you in the coming year!
